ShopRite of West Hartford Dietitian Shana Griffin says: ‘Don’t Diet in 2016!’

There is so much health information on the web and in the media, it can be overwhelming to tell fact from fiction. Instead of feeling frustrated and unsure of where to start on your path to becoming healthier, join Shana’s Griffin’s FREE “Eat Well Be Happy” Weight Management Series.
The class starts Feb. 24, and will be held every Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m., for six weeks, at the ShopRite of West Hartford (46 Kane St., West Hartford). Each class focuses on a different topic including: meal planning, portion control, importance of fiber, protein and hydration and controlling sugar cravings, among others.
The class is designed to discuss healthy eating and lifestyle changes with a focus on weight management or maintenance.

Shana Griffin is the registered dietitian for the ShopRite of West Hartford. Shana has an office in the store, located on the corner of Kane and Prospect streets, and offers a variety of free health and wellness services, including one on one nutrition consultations, grocery store tours, weight management and culinary workshops as well as food sampling and recipe demonstrations.
