Spotlight Award Winners To Be Honored at West Hartford Chamber Dinner

The Noah Webster Award recipient, Spotlight Award winners, and others will be honored at the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on June 20, 2016.

The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce 29th Annual Meeting and Spotlight Awards Dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 20, at The Pond House at 1555 Asylum Ave.

This year’s Noah Webster Award, given to selected individuals and institutions for exceptional community involvement and advancement, will be given to Scott Slifka.

The Chamber will also be recognizing five businesses that have done outstanding work in the areas of Marketing, Health & Wellness, Economic Development, Youth to Business, Technology and the Chambers Golf Tournament. The winners are as follows:

Marketing: We-Ha.com

Health & Wellness: ShopRite Market

Economic Development: Legrand/Wiremold

Youth to Business: Farmington Bank

Technology: ADNET

Golf: Bearingstar Insurance

Also recognized this year are the five business district organizations – Bishops Corner Neighborhood Association, West Hartford Center Business Association, Park Road Business Association, Home Design District, and Elmwood Business Association. Each organization works to brand their area and to bring consumers and vital commercial activity to their areas, member businesses have hung branded banners, beautified with street planters, organized district advertising and held monthly or bi-monthly meetings

The Chamber will also be presenting its awards to recognize the Ambassador, New Member, Volunteer of the Year and the Youth to Business scholarship recipient

Tickets are $50 for Chamber members, and $60 for guests; information about registration is available at the Chamber’s website www.whchamber.com.
