Spring Has Arrived in West Hartford

After what seemed like an interminable winter, spring flowers are finally blooming.

I feel like I have been waiting forever for the daffodils to bloom.

The hardy yellow flowers that grow in a narrow bed between my driveway and house are almost always quick to poke out of the ground, even when there is still snow, and are usually among the first daffodils I see in blooming in West Hartford. Sometimes they bloom before the end of March.

I think this is the latest they have ever bloomed, but they did not disappoint! Thanks to a few days of nice warm sun, they began to open on Monday, and were in nearly full bloom by Tuesday.

Send me your signs of spring ([email protected]), and I will put together a gallery of photos to share!
