The one-year-old Sustainable CT Community Match Fund has just surpassed $1 million in investment.

These funds support more than 90 community-led sustainability projects in over 55 Connecticut cities and towns.

In West Hartford, Sustainable CT funding was obtained by Friends of Fernridge Park, and has been used to assist with the purchase of trees that line the Leslie Knope Promenade.

Sustainable CT committed $495,000 as a match to more than $575,000 in donations from 3,450 neighbors, friends, colleagues, and businesses. The Community Match Fund demonstrates the power of people coming together to create change one block, neighborhood, and town at a time.

Celebrate this milestone by viewing current projects or starting one in your own community.

West Hartford is a Bronze-certified Sustainable CT community. This funding is available to eligible projects in West Hartford. The Town does not need to be directly involved. Contact Sustainable CT or [email protected], 860-561-7581.
