Tammy Exum Accepts the Democratic Party Nomination for 19th District House Seat
West Hartford resident Tammy Exum has been endorsed to run for re-election in the 19th district, serving parts of West Hartford and Avon.

At a convention held on Wednesday, May 15, Tammy Exum was unanimously endorsed as the Democratic Party candidate for the 19th State House District.
“It is an honor to be the Democratic Party candidate as I run for re-election to represent the 19th State House District, which includes part of Avon and West Hartford.” Exum said, “I want to continue to bring the voices of the people of the 19th district to the capitol,” she said.
“I am proud of my record of getting legislation passed into law with broad bipartisan support. For example, in 2023, I was a lead champion for H.B. 5001 – An Act Concerning Children’s Mental Health. H.B. 5001, a transformative piece of legislation that has improved the lives of children across our state.” Exum continued, “As an advocate for my constituents, my mission has been to listen to community concerns, bring people together, then lead to solve and prevent problems.
“I encourage everyone to vote and make their voice heard on election day, Nov. 5. There is so much at stake, including reproductive freedom and Democracy itself.” Exum concluded, “I hope to earn your support; it would truly be an honor to continue to serve.”
