Tammy Exum’s campaign has met the thresholds required to receive qualifying funds from the Connecticut Citizens’ Election Program. Exum is running for re-election to represent the 19th State House District, which includes parts of Avon, Farmington, and West Hartford.

“I am so grateful for the amount of support my campaign has received since launching in January. Qualifying is no easy task; we needed to raise $5,300 from at least 150 residents of Avon, Farmington, and West Hartford. We surpassed both benchmarks.” Exum said, “I am especially humbled and proud that people from every corner of our community invested in our campaign, and that our most common contribution amount was $5.”

“Right now, politics may be the last topic on people’s minds. However, the decisions made in Hartford over the next few years are going to determine how successfully families and businesses recover from this health and economic crisis.” Exum said, “To ensure the voices of the 19th District are heard, I will continue to use every ounce of my advocating skills, drawing on constituent input and my experiences as a community leader, a mom, an elementary school teacher, and a former member of the West Hartford Board of Education.”
