‘The Art of Assemblage’ will be on display at the West Hartford Art League’s Salt Box gallery through May 16.

“The Art of Assemblage,” features seven imaginative and inventive artists who transform found objects into whimsical, quirky, organic, socially relevant works of art.

This exhibit was inspired during a recent series of “Assemblage” classes offered by the West Hartford Art League and taught by faculty member C. Dianne Zweig.

Participating artists include:

• Joanna Eickenhorst – West Hartford
• Heather Satlof – Avon
• ‘Shirley Quintero – Windsor
• Carolyn Venne – South Windsor
• Sue Williams – New York

The show will be on exhibit in the West Hartford Art League’s Salt Box Gallery, 37 Buena Vista Rd., West Hartford, through May 16. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday, from 1-4 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled online here.
