The Bridge Family Center in West Hartford has named Doreen Tarascio as director of communications. Tarascio will oversee all communication initiatives, as well as the organization’s signature fundraising event: The Children’s Charity Ball.

“Doreen has a proven record of success in developing and managing strategic communication efforts as well as coordinating fundraising and special events and we are pleased to welcome her to our team,” says Executive Director Margaret Hann. “Her abilities will be a great asset as The Bridge continues to grow and evolve to best meet the needs of our community.”

Prior to the Bridge, Tarascio held communications and development positions at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. For over 25 years, she has worked with non-profit organizations to raise awareness and funds in support of their mission.

In addition to its central office, counseling center, Family Resource Center and Teen Center in West Hartford, The Bridge also offers counseling centers in Avon and Rockville and short-term assessment and respite homes in and around Hartford County.
