Explore the trucks, enjoy the children’s activities, and eat kid-friendly food! It’s fun for the whole family.

The Junior League of Hartford’s “Touch a Truck,” to be held on on May 18 and 19, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., is a family-friendly, hands-on event that offers opportunities for children to explore, climb, and touch trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery, and other equipment.

Children will also get to meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build our community. Learning comes alive when children connect with firetrucks, police cars, construction equipment, mail trucks and more.

This is a family-friendly event and a win-win, that will also include a “fill-a-truck” food drive to benefit Foodshare (45o Woodland Ave., Bloomfield), where the event will be held.

In addition to the trucks for climbing, there will be kid-friendly fare available at the event.

Tickets are available in advance for $5 per person, or at the door for $7 per person. Family discounts are also available. Children under age 1 are free. Click here to purchase tickets online.

The Junior League of Hartford is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and improving the Greater Hartford community through programs and partnerships with other nonprofit organizations. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
