Town of West Hartford Announces President’s Day Closings and Special Hours

President’s Day will be observed on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019.

West Hartford Town Hall, the West Hartford Senior Center in Bishops Corner, and the Elmwood Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, in observance of the President’s Day holiday, and other town services will have special schedules.

The collection of trash and recycling, however, will not be impacted. The Recycling Center on Brixton Street will be open on Monday from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., but the Public Works Department offices will be closed.

West Hartford Public Schools are closed on Monday, Feb. 18 as well as Tuesday, Feb. 19 for winter break. Administrative offices are closed Monday, but will be open on Feb. 19.

All West Hartford Public Library branches will closed on Sunday, Feb. 17 and Monday, Feb. 18.

Veterans Memorial Skating Rink will be open, and offering the following public skating sessions during school break:

  • Monday, Feb. 18 at 12:10-1:20 p.m., 1:30-2:40 p.m., 2:50-4 p.m., 4:10-5:20 p.m., 5:30-6:50 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 12:10-1:20 p.m., 1:30-2:40 p.m., 2:50-4 p.m., 4:10-5:20 p.m.

The Westmoor Park grounds and the farm will be open from dawn to dusk.
