Town of West Hartford to Host Conversation about Fair Housing Practices

The Town of West Hartford will host the Facebook Live forum ‘Know Your Rights: Fair Housing Practices’ on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

The Town of West Hartford will host an informative conversation about fair housing practices on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 4:30-5:30 p.m. via Facebook Live on the Town of West Hartford’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/TownofWestHartfordCT

Participants will learn about their rights as a tenant and be able to ask questions, and obtain the latest information regarding fair housing practices in Connecticut. This conversation is in collaboration with the Town of West Hartford Social Services Department and Ms. Shaznene Hussain, Community Education and Outreach Coordinator of the Connecticut Fair Housing Center.

She will address residents’ concerns in a virtual meeting on the following topics:

  1. Rental Assistance
  2. Eviction moratorium (which is ending Aug. 22)
  3. Fair Housing protection
