Household Hazardous Waste Collection,

Sept. 27, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Mark your calendar. The MDC will hold a household hazardous waste collection on Saturday, Sept. 27, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the West Hartford Public Works facility, 17 Brixton Street, located off the Oakwood Avenue Extension.

Hazardous waste cannot be simply thrown out with the trash, flushed, or poured down the drain because it passes the problem along to the environment, polluting the air and the water. So the MDC sponsors a HazWaste  program to collect the waste and dispose of it through safe, environmentally responsible practices.

The MDC urges you to attend the free Household Hazardous Waste Collection on September 27th. Protect the health of your kids, your spouse, your pets, and the environment.

West Hartford residents may participate to any MDC-sponsored collection event. Click here to check for dates and towns.
