West Hartford’s Blue Back Square turned pink on Thursday, Oct. 4, for Komen New England’s annual Pink Party.
Sponsors from the health care industry helped raise awareness about breast cancer and early detection, and there was also plenty of fun to be had with dancing to live music from Shaded Soul, activities for children, raffles, and a dance performance.
Nearly two dozen breast cancer survivors – escorted to the stage by members of the West Hartford Fire Department – modeled the latest fall fashions from local merchants in the annual fashion show, emceed by Alyssa Taglia and Laura Hutchinson of WTNH News 8.
