The team at We-Ha.com wants our readers to know that we have not ignored the emails and other messages we have received recently notifying us of slow uploads or even worse – inability to access the site.
We’ve experienced what could be called a “good” problem.
Once we started exceeding 100,000 page views a month we started overwhelming our original server, resulting in the “522” errors that some of you were experiencing. The site wasn’t crashing, but it didn’t have enough capacity to respond to everyone who was trying to access content – 2 terabytes worth of data every month – on We-Ha.com.
Our brand new server – which was put into service late Wednesday – is ready and able to accommodate our capacity right now and well into the future. We’re still resolving a few minor details, but uploads are already much faster. We’re even installing a brand new calendar and have some other great features that we will be explaining in the next week or two.
Thanks to the new server, we will also be able to enhance our content with video.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience that our readers have experienced, but we assure you that we are ready, able, and committed to providing you with hyperlocal news about West Hartford 24/7/365.
