“Have a Seat”is a contemporary group exhibit of chair and sofa art featuring artists from the West Hartford Art League.

The show, curated by faculty member C.Dianne Zweig, is a look at the many styles and interpretations of “the chair” and “the sofa.” You will find over 30 works of art in a variety of styles, interpretations and media including paintings, abstract collages and mixed media.

“Have a Seat” offers the viewing audience a variety of vibrant, whimsical, imaginative and socially relevant portraits of this familiar subject matter.

The show will open April 29 at Pompanoosuc Mills, 21 Brace Road/Firehouse Square, West Hartford, and will remain on display through the spring.

A percentage of the sales of art from this exhibit will be donated to the West Hartford Art League by Pompanoosuc Mills. Kevin Hassett, manager of Pompanoosuc Mills in West Hartford Center and his company are enthusiastic supporters of the mission of the art center which provides year round art classes, community events, public art, and diverse educational programming for children, adolescents, and adults.
