The West Hartford Art League is holding a celebration party May 31 to celebrate its 85th anniversary!

All are invited to this fun night at the Town and County Club, just over the West Hartford line on Woodland Street in Hartford. The event starts at 6 p.m. for cocktails, followed by dinner, and a live and silent auction. Auctioneer Gary Katz will oversee the live auction which includes a trip to Africa, a week stay in a four bedroom home in Hilton Head, SC, a two-night stay at the beachfront Wyndham Beach Resort in Deerfield Beach, FL, as well as a “Best of West Hartford” package, an opportunity to exhibit your work in one of the West Hartford Art Leagues galleries, and much more.

Tickets are $85 and can be purchased on the West Hartford Art Leagues website at  http://westhartfordart.org/85th  or by calling the office at 860-231-8019.

The West Hartford Art League was founded in 1934 in the “Schoolhouse” building on Mountain Road, where studio art classes are now held. The lower level of this one-room schoolhouse is used as a pottery classroom and studio. Two additional buildings on Buena Vista Road house two galleries, an office and additional classroom space. This event supports the 85-year-old nonprofit’s mission to educate and inspire through year-round classes, a summer camp for kids, scholarships, free monthly exhibits, and community events.
