Art lovers, art supporters and community members are invited to join us at the West Hartford Art League’s “Cocktail Party in the Park” being held at the Pond House on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6-8:30 p.m.

This fun night helps to support the 84-year-old non-profit’s many programs, activities, and operational expenses.

The Art League serves more than 1,200 students on an annual basis in three sessions of classes, plus a summer camp which has been serving 200 youth every July for the past 14 years. Free monthly exhibits in our two galleries feature work by local and regional artists, as well youth from the West Hartford Public Schools every year in the annual ArtBeat exhibit.

If you or your child has ever taken a class here, had work hanging in our galleries, attended one of our free gallery exhibits or community events, or admired the public art we’ve placed throughout  West Hartford, now is the time to show your support! We need all of you!

Bring your dancing shoes as the cocktail party will feature live music provided by Goza Latin Jazz Trio. A Live Auction hosted by auctioneer Gary Katz will feature several trips including a week stay at a four- bedroom home in Hilton Head, a week in Africa, two nights at the Wyndham Hotel in Deerfield Beach, seasons tickets to the CT Forum and Hartford Stage, and more. There is also a silent auction with items donated by the Delamar Hotel, Cook and the Bear, Hope and Stetson, ESPN, Winding Trails, and more.

Tickets are only $50, so please join us with your friends to support the arts!

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the office at 860-231-8019. They will not be sold at the door.

Tickets and details can be found online at http://westhartfordart.org/fundraisers/  Live Auction items are listed at http://westhartfordart.org/fundraiser-auction/
