The streets of West Hartford Center will be jumping on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the annual Center Days. Most of the merchants extend their businesses onto the sidewalk, and great savings are to be found on virtually everything – from clothing, to accessories, to home decor.
“‘Shop, Dine and Stroll’ during our annual West Hartford Center Days!” said West Hartford Center Business Association President Barbara Karsky.
“There will be so many special items discounted for quick sales … you won’t believe your eyes,” Karsky, the co-owner of BK&Co, said.
BK&Co is actually starting their sale a day early, on Wednesday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with a tent sale. Karsky said it is one of their biggest sales of the year with 10 percent off all full-priced merchandise, an additional 25 percent off all sale and new markdowns (up to 80 percent off original), and 30 percent off handbags. BK&Co. will also have a $20 pants sale rack, South Pacific semi-precious jewelry sample sale, Art of Cloth and Testimony Sample sale, and will give away a free Pandora ring with the purchase of two rings.
DeRobertis Jewelers is offering 50 percent off select fine jewelry, and will also have a “bead blowout” with all beads (yes, they fit those “famous” bracelets) on sale for $8.50.
On Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Iris Photography will hand out $100 gift certificates for family photography. From 10 a.m. – noon, Iris Photography will also host “Grace’s Birthday Bake Sale,” a bake sale by one of their client’s daughters to benefit “No Kid Hungry.”
Center Framing & Art is offering huge savings, and has put every single piece of art in their store on sale for this event.
J.McLaughlin has a great selection of men’s and women’s apparel, with up to 70 percent off original prices.
LUX has 20 percent off all shoes, and a big markdown rack with items at up to 50 percent off.
Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs is offering 40 percent off all summer sale merchandise as well as 50 percent off scarves and jewelry. In addition, customers can enter to win a beautiful “UNO de 50” necklace ($99 value) and a $25 Lyn Evans online gift card. Price points on merchandise begin as low as $5 and $10!
The Silver Dahlia has savings of 75 percent and more on clearance items. Many Vineyard Vines and Sloane Ranger items are 50 percent off.
Face Rx MD will be giving away free “Sun Lover’s Therapy” with every HydraFacial purchase. There are many other great deals to be had, and when you have finished shopping and strolling, Karsky said not to forget that the Center has a great selection of food and drink with many restaurants offering special summertime menus.
