West Hartford Chamber and Farmington Bank To Host Free Cybersecurity Presentation

The free event will be held on Thursday, May 21, at Farmington Bank in West Hartford Center.

In honor of National Small Business Week, the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and Farmington Bank are hosting an event designed to assist small businesses in avoiding potentially large problems.

A special free presentation, “Protecting Your Business from Cyber Crimes,” will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 5-7 p.m., at Farmington Bank’s West Hartford Center location, 962 Farmington Ave.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • Identity theft and account takeover
  • Internet fraud and cybercrime
  • Check, telephone and email scams

Farmington Bank Information Security Officer Bryan Cassidy will be the presenter.

Foods from local restaurants will be available and cocktails will also be served at this event.

There is no charge, but reservations are requested. RSVP to the West Hartford Chamber at 860-521-2300.
