The ripple effect on the economy at all levels due to the COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented, leaving businesses of all types struggling in ways that most could not imagine.

Restaurants, gyms and fitness facilities, shops, entertainment, service businesses, and virtually every sector is being impacted.

“The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing our members and the entire business community access to the most updated information and resource available during this unprecedented crisis,” Chamber Executive Director Chris Conway said.

“We have created the Emergency Business Resource as a place where business owners and employees can as a single source of information.”

“There are also a variety of resources listed on the town’s website, and those will be updated as they become available,” Economic Development Specialist Kristen Gorski said. For any West Hartford businesses with direct concerns or questions, Gorski said she is also available and can provide guidance as how best to proceed. She will also facilitate conversations with available resources.

The Chamber’s resource is available to all businesses, regardless of membership, and includes links to publications from the Department of Labor, Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), and details about obtaining disaster assistance through the Small Business Administration (SBA).
