West Hartford Community Television (WHC-TV) is excited to hold its fifth annual Take 5 All Access Party, a fabulous event celebrating WHC-TV’s commitment to supporting free speech and expression for the community.

Taking place on Friday, March 2, at the Pond House Café, the event will feature food, cocktails, and entertainment as well as an exciting silent auction with items generously donated by notable local businesses, organizations, and celebrities in support of West Hartford’s hometown media center.

A sneak preview of what’s to come can be found on the station’s website and is updated with new items on Fridays.

Bob Tomassone will provide the musical entertainment, and local teacher, author, and Grand StorySlam Champion Matthew Dicks will present a special story.

Every penny of funds raised at this event will go to support WHC-TV and the station’s efforts to provide a community-driven media center, including the award-winning Be The Media citizen journalism program.

This year the station must replace the server that runs its programs and keeps the channel up and running. The sum of $22,000 must be raised for this critical capital need.

For more information about attending, sponsoring, or donating items for the event’s auction, please contact WHC-TV Executive Director Jennifer Evans at [email protected] or 860-561-7955.

Anyone who cannot attend and would like to make a donation toward the purchase of new server, may make a donation via this link: http://www.whctv.org/donate.

About WHC-TV: West Hartford Community Television is national recognized community media center that encourages citizen participation in community life by providing an open forum for free speech, community dialogue, cultural exchange and artistic expression. Programs produced by volunteers can be seen on Comcast Channel 5, via the station’s website at www.whctv.org and beginning mid-February on Frontier TV Channel 6097.
