West Hartford Garden Club to Hold ‘June Blooms’ Tour

The ‘June Blooms’ 2018 Garden Tour will take place on Saturday, June 16.

June brings longer days and more sunshine, and it’s also a great time to enjoy the colors of summer, outdoors with friends and family.
The West Hartford Garden Club is excited to present seven member gardens at its tour on June 16. Attendees will experience pond views, city oasis, cottage gardens and native planting, follow winding paths, a serene lake, hidden gems and veggie delights.
All of the work will encourage visitors to stand back and imagine, visualize, and fancy ideas of their own.
Garden on the tour are at the following locations:
- 39 Wood Pond Rd.
- 101 Waterside Ln.
- 52 Fairwood Farms Dr.
- Buena Vista Recreational Complex and Community Gardens
- 136 Cliffmore Rd.
- 142 Bainbridge Rd.
- 110 Terry Rd. (Hartford)
Planters filled with annuals and perennials will be available for sale at Wood Pond and Bainbridge locations. Complimentary refreshments will be offered at Waterside and Cliffmore locations, and a food truck will be stationed in the Cornerstone parking lot. Restrooms are available at the Noah Webster House and Elizabeth Park Pond House.
The tour will take place on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for the tour. Tickets are available at [email protected]. Pre-sale tickets can also be purchased for $20 each at Butler’s Garden Center, Moscarillo’s Garden Center, and the Noah Webster House. Tickets on the day of tour are $25 and will be for sale at each garden.
