West Hartford resident Jacob Boyer participated in a local Under Armour golf series in the fall of 2022, and is one of just five players from Connecticut in the boys 15-18 age group to qualify for the 2023 Winter Nationals in Destin, Florida.
Boyer, 16, is Hall High School sophomore. As a freshman he played with the JV team last spring, but had the opportunity to play some varsity matches during the fall 2022 season.
The Under Armour Winter Nationals will take place on President’s Day weekend, and Boyer’s age group will play at the Links Golf Club.
More than 600 players from across the country, girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 18, will compete in the tournament this February.
