West Hartford Leisure Services Offering ‘Family Fun Nights’ at Outdoor Pools

West Hartford’s Leisure Services Department is holding ‘Family Fun Nights’ at all four outdoor pools this August.

West Hartford’s Leisure Services Department has arranged free “Family Fun Nights,” at each of the town’s outdoor pools during the month of August.

“Join us for a free night of games and contests, such as Cornhole, Water Basketball and Limbo,” Director Helen Rubino-Turco said in an email. “Take part in the games, swim freely, or just hang out with your family!”

The Family Fun Night schedule is:

• Fernridge Park – Wednesday, Aug. 2, 6-8 p.m.
• Kennedy Park – Friday, Aug. 4, 6-8 p.m.
• Beachland Park – Wednesday, Aug. 9, 6-8 p.m.
• Eisenhower Park – Thursday, Aug. 17,, 6-8 p.m.

There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration at cornerstone.recdesk.com is strongly encouraged.

All four of West Hartford’s outdoor pools will close for the season on Aug. 20. Schedules and other information can be found on the website.

After closing to human users, however, Beachland Park will be open for one additional event. The annual West Hartford Dog Park Coalition’s Pooch Plunge will be held on Monday, Aug. 21, from 4-6:45 p.m. Pre-registration information will be available soon.
