West Hartford Library Presentation: History of Craft Beer in Connecticut

The author of ‘Beer Snob’ will give lead a discussion about craft beer in Connecticut.

On Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m., author Will Siss will present a lively and informative presentation and lead a discussion about the history of Connecticut beer, its current state, and its future.

The presentation will be held at the Noah Webster Library, 20 South Main St., West Hartford.

Siss has written a column called “Beer Snob” for the Waterbury Republican-American since 2005 and has witnessed the rapid growth of Connecticut breweries during that time. He is the author of Connecticut Beer: A History of Nutmeg State Brewing (History Press, 2015), which will be available for purchase.

Siss, who is also a teacher and musician, has had his work published in national magazines, including Beer Advocate and Brew Your Own. He also leads beer tastings.
