In mid-January, Dylan Udolf received an email invitation, and learned that he had qualified for international competition as part of the United States Snowboard Racing Team (USSRT).
Udolf, 19, is one of 12 athletes chosen to represent the U.S. at the 2017 FIS Snowboard Junior World Championships to be held in Klinovec/Bozi Dar, Czech Republic from Feb. 20-21, 2017.
Udolf is a 2016 graduate of Kingswood Oxford School and currently enrolled as a freshman at Northeastern University.
He has been snowboarding since the age of 6 and has achieved many successes in the sport, including twice winning the national Giant Slalom championship.
Udolf was named to the USSRT in the fall of 2015, just two years after rehabbing from a serious knee injury that resulted in surgery to repair a torn ACL and meniscus.
He has been competing on the Nor-Am Cup Tour racing throughout the U.S. and Canada.
