West Hartford Police Apprehend Suspect Attempting to Break Into Buena Vista Area Home

West Hartford Police received a report of a suspicious person trying to break into a home in the Buena Vista neighborhood, and were able to locate and arrest the suspect. [Updated]

West Hartford Police responded were dispatched to the area of Finger Lane in the Buena Vista neighborhood on Friday, Aug. 12 at approximately 7 p.m. after receiving a report of a suspicious person trying to gain entry into a residence.
Police said they located a suspect who matched the description of the suspicious person, and after investigation learned that the suspect, Terrence Brown, 43, had entered a residence and a vehicle in the area.
According to police, there were no injuries and no property damage as a result of the incident.
Police said Brown was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, criminal attempt at third-degree burglary, and three counts of third-degree criminal trespass. He was being held on $100,000 bond and due in Hartford Superior Court on Monday.
According to online court records, Brown was released after Monday’s appearance and is due back in court on Sept. 2.
