[Updated, Jan. 22] West Hartford Police said that 15-year-old Lanah Shepard returned home on Monday night.

West Hartford Police Capt. Mike Perruccio confirmed Tuesday morning that 15-year-old Lanah Shepard, who had been the subject of a Silver Alert, was safely back home as of Monday evening.

No further information is available.

The Silver Alert has been canceled.

West Hartford Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Lanah Shepard, a 15-year-old West Hartford girl who was last seen at 286 Tunxis Rd. at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18.

Police said that a Silver Alert has been issued, and that Shepard is in need of immediate medical treatment.

According to police, Shepard is a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was possibly wearing a black jacket, black shirt, light blue jeans, and black and white Michael Jordan sneakers, police said.

Police were notified just before midnight Friday that Shepard was missing.
