West Hartford Public Schools will be holding a mentor training session, ‘Mentoring 101: Mentor Today, Make a Difference Tomorrow,’

Who mentored you? Pass it on.
Think of the mentors in your young life – a team coach, teacher, concerned neighbor or another caring adult. Then, honor those who encouraged you. Become a mentor and continue the legacy.
To learn more about mentoring and how YOU CAN make a difference in the life of a West Hartford Public School student, join us for the Fall “New” Mentor Program Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, in Town Hall, Room 400, 50 South Main Street, West Hartford, from noon to 2 p.m.
Another option available is a virtual meeting, also on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 6:30 t0 8 p.m. This will take place through Google Meet and a link will be provided to registrants.
Mentoring 101: Mentor Today, Make a Difference Tomorrow is for prospective mentors who wish to learn more about mentoring and how they can make a difference in the life of a young person.
Carol Wilkas, West Hartford Public Schools District Mentor Program Coordinator/Workshop Facilitator, will highlight program guidelines and discuss why mentoring is vital in our schools today. In addition, there will be a special panel of mentors who will share their experiences.
