Riverfront Recapture’s High School Rowing program is sending one boat to compete in the 51st “Head of the Charles” Regatta in Boston this weekend.

They will be competing against rowers from all the world in the “Mens Youth 4+” category.

The rowers, who all attend schools in West Hartford, are Nick Fisher (Conard), Josh Vallera (NWC), Joe Duva (Conard), and Brian McCauley (Conard). The coxswain is Jonathan Dumeer of Glastonbury, a student at Watkinson.

Brian and Jonathan competed for Riverfront Rowing at the Head of the Charles in 2014, and also rowed in the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championships in June.

Riverfront Recapture, Inc. is a community boathouse that offers learn-to-row and competitive rowing programs to anyone in the greater Hartford area.
