West Hartford’s Conard and Hall high schools will both hold commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2017 on Thursday, June 15, 2017, Assistant Superintendent of Schools Andy Morrow said Friday.

The date for graduation is not usually announced until April 1 to ensure that all snow days are taken into consideration.

Morrow also confirmed that the last day of school for all students other than graduating seniors will be Monday, June 19.

The original last day of school was to have been June 13. Morrow said that there were four snow days during the 2016-17 academic year.

High school students will be receiving a finals schedule shortly. All regularly scheduled finals will end by Friday, June 16, and Monday, June 19 will be the make-up day.

More specific information that graduates and their families will need to know about commencement will be forthcoming later this spring directly from the high school administration.
