Nicola Culmo, a longtime science teacher at Hall High School, has been a Big Sister (adult mentor) with Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2014.

Her Little Sister (mentee) in Nutmeg’s community-based program is 12-year-old Jenalys, from Bloomfield.

Jenalys, left, and Nicola, right, are pictured at a pre-COVID photo shoot for Nutmeg’s Annual Report publication. The two are currently marking National Women’s History Month, which runs throughout March each year.

Jenalys and Nicola are hoping that other area women will consider joining them in making their own brand of history via mentoring during this celebratory month by visiting: www.nbbbs.org.
