West Hartford Teen Makes Debut on Nick Jr. Series ‘Becca’s Bunch’

Local young actor, Ben Stone-Zelman of West Hartford made his Nick Jr. debut on Monday, Sept. 24, in the new television series, “Becca’s Bunch.”

Ben is the voice of “Pedro the Worm,” one of the four main characters in this new preschool series which will air every day at 3 p.m. on Nick Jr.

“Becca’s Bunch” has already launched around the world in England, Australia, Russia, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and more. Ben recorded 52 episodes of the show in New York City over the course of 15 months.

According to Animation Magazine, the show has been a hit in the UK since it premiered there in July. “‘Becca’s Bunch’ is our most ambitious preschool series yet, taking years to develop and get just right for preschoolers around the globe,” JAM Media CEO John Rice is told Animation Magazine.

Ben is a local high school sophomore at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford. He is represented by a New York City talent agency and has performed at Goodspeed Opera House as “Randolph” in BYE BYE BIRDIE, “Tommy Bailey” in A WONDERFUL LIFE, and most recently as “Will Rogers Jr” in THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES, as well as at Hartford Stage in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He was also featured in the New York Times for his role of “Luke Majors” in the Pinna podcast series ‘GHOST OF JESSICA MAJORS’ by Gen-Z.
