West Hartford to Hold Community Resource Fair for Low Income Working Families

The Town of West Hartford’s Division of Social Services is hosting a resource fair on Thursday, June 6.

In the spirit of collaboration and building healthy neighborhoods, the Town of West Hartford invites the public to a Community Resource Fair on Thursday, June 6, 2019, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Town Hall auditorium, Third Floor, 50 South Main St., West Hartford, CT.

This free event is sponsored by the Town of West Hartford, Division of Social Services, with the intention to provide information and resources to low-income, working families and individuals who may struggle to afford basic needs.

Residents can expect to learn more about options for housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare, food and other services available for people who are employed but struggle to make ends meet.

Representatives from multiple organizations will provide information on how to access to services and programs that benefit the community. More than a dozen groups will participate, including West Hartford Public Schools Early Childhood Education, West Hartford Public Schools Continuing Education, 211 – United Way, End Hunger CT, YMCA, WIC, Foodshare, West Hartford Housing Authority, Salvation Army, CT Housing Finance Authority, CT Association of Human Services, West Hartford Public Libraries, Greater Hartford Transit District, CT Green Bank, Goodwill, For Goodness Sake, YWCA, The Bridge Family Center, Greater Hartford Legal Aid, Urban League and Operation Fuel, among others.
