This September, the West Hartford Women’s Chorale will return to open its 18th season as a community chorale for all women. The Chorale plans a fall semester that will culminate with a winter concert on Dec. 16, 2022 and a spring semester that includes a spring concert in June 2023.

The Chorale welcomes all new and returning singers on Sept 6, 2022. Rehearsals will begin with two open rehearsals on both Tuesday, Sept 6 and Tuesday, Sept 13, from 7 to 8:45 p.m. All women who would like to try out the chorale and learn more about the upcoming semester are invited to attend. Please come a few minutes early to pick up music and register.

All rehearsals are held on Tuesdays at the spacious Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Rd., Newington, CT. At this time, proof of COVID vaccination and masks are required to attend. The rehearsal space allows for socially distanced seating. To know more about the Chorale’s present policies please go to the WHWC website www.whwchorale.org  or click here.

All are welcome to attend open rehearsals on a walk-in basis, but to ask for further information or let us know of your interest, please contact us by clicking here.

For returning members who plan to attend this fall, please save time, and register on our website link. Tuition can be paid online or in person at rehearsal.

In March 2022, The WHWC performed the Requiem by Gabrielle Faure with the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra at their spring concert. Dr. Ethan Nash directed the Chorale and the Orchestra was led by Maestro Richard Chiarappa. Delayed by the COVID pandemic, this collaboration had been a long time in the planning.

The Chorale’s 2021-2022 Season concluded on June 6 with their spring concert, A Night at the Theater, at St. James’s Episcopal Church, West Hartford. The Chorale performed a joyous repertoire drawn from opera, Shakespeare settings and a collection of Broadway favorites.
