The long-standing 4th of July tradition of West Hartford’s “horseshoe” neighborhood – which includes Montclair Drive, Linbrook, Linnwood, and several other streets – continued for the 38th year Monday.
Children decorated their bicycles, dressed in costumes, and paraded down the street. Dogs and adults – also costumed – joined in as well.
The West Hartford Fire Department participated, too – to the delight of the children who had the opportunity to learn how a hydrant works and then enjoy a spray shower on a hot summer afternoon.
