On Saturday, Oct. 7, the Park Road Association will host its most cherished community event, the Park Road Parade. This fun-filled, one-of-a-kind community event is one of the region’s most popular fall traditions, celebrating all that is special about Park Road, West Hartford, and beyond.

Organizers are so excited to invite any and all West Hartford neighborhoods and organizations to participate and march in the parade, and all are welcome to be a part of it! There is no entry fee or cost to participate in the Park Road Parade. All you have to do is complete a sign-up form and return it to [email protected].

Each year awards are given to: Best Float, Best Overall Performance, Best Costume, Best Musical Performance, and Best Community Spirit. Make your contingent the best it can be and win!

The 2023 Grand Marshal is iHeartRadio’s The River 105.9 personality Renée DiNino, whose participation in the parade will showcase her passion for animal rescue and food donation. And, for the first time ever, GO the Extra Mile fun run will be held in coordination with Fleet Feet of West Hartford and sponsored by GO Media, prior to the start of the parade. Winners will be spotlighted in the parade.

After the race and before the start of the parade, join dance teacher/choreographer Darlene Zoller for a Dance Party on Park Road in front of the Park Road Parade Viewing Stand (near Steben’s Auto) at about 10:15 a.m.  Everyone is invited!

Lastly, this year the parade is dedicated to the late Rob Rowlson, a lifelong resident of West Hartford, loving family man, business advocate and Park Road supporter, who passed away in 2022. Rob was a co-host TV announcer for the parade for many years on West Hartford Community Interactive.

Visit the parade website for more information.
