The West Hartford Youth Baseball League 9U travel team secured the tournament win on Saturday.

On Saturday, Aug, 1), the WHYBL 9U Warriors completed their undefeated run through the 10U division of the Farmington Lindquist tournament with a 4-3, extra-inning, walk-off win against Simsbury Navy.

Pitchers KC Curtin and Brycen O’Neill held the Simsbury team to three runs over seven innings, while Asher Zutler brought home Curtin in the seventh inning to close out the championship game and bring the title to West Hartford.

Overall the team went 8-0 in the tournament, outscoring their opponents by a combined 81-16 margin in the process.

Throughout the entire season the Warriors went 16-10-1 and placed fifth in the 9U Cal Ripken state tournament.

Members of the team were Gunner Black, Owen Cochran, Patrick Corcoran, Owen Coyle, KC Curtin, Jake Danziger, Luke Griffiths, Parker Jordan, Brycen O’Neill, Jack Solomon, James LaTaille, and Asher Zutler.  Coaches were Matt Black, Andy Cochran, Matt Danziger, and Jarrett Solomon.
