Work by 2015 ‘CT+6 Best of Show’ To Be Featured at West Hartford Art League

Elisabeth McBrien, the 2015  Best of Show winner in the West Hartford Art Leagues regional juried CT+6 exhibit, will have a solo exhibit of her work opening Oct. 11 in the Clubhouse Gallery. The opening , from 2-4 p.m., is free and open to the public.

CT+6 is a regional juried exhibit open to artists residing in the five New England states, plus New York.

With an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art, and a BFA in painting from the Hartford Art School, Elisabeth has exhibited her work throughout New England and New York City. She is the recipient of the 2014 NYAA Giverny Terra Foundation Residency, and has received awards for her work from the West Hartford Art League, the Connecticut Women Artist Association, the Farmington Valley Art Center, and the Hartford Art School. She was recently reviewed by the Huffington Post for her work in Art Southampton 2015, and was also featured  on the cover of West Hartford Life.

The exhibit will be on display from Oct. 11 – Nov. 8. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday from 1-4 p.m. or by appointment.
