The Class of 2021 Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) recently graduated 17 new parent leaders.

The 25-week rigorous program, offered through the Bridge Family Center, combines advocacy, leadership, and citizenship skills into a curriculum to foster the best interests of children. Participants learned how they can impact the political system and become effective advocates for children. This year’s class exemplified commitment and fortitude as they conducted the entire program virtually.

PLTI is a program of the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, and Seniors. It is sponsored by the Bridge Family Center with funding support from the State Education Resource Center and the Liberty Bank Foundation.
