The 3rd Annual Friends of Feeney Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Tunxis Country Club.

Friends of Feeney Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in West Hartford, will hold its third annual charity golf tournament at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024. The tournament will raise funds to support the organization’s mission of assisting children and families in need after experiencing heartbreak and tragedy.

Since its founding in 2019, Friends of Feeney has provided over $200,000 in direct financial support to children and families dealing with heartbreaking and tragic situations, such as the loss of a loved one, an unexpected illness, or property damage. Recent initiatives include supporting a Plymouth family who lost their apartment to a fire, a local student fighting bone cancer, and a West Hartford family who lost their son.

The tournament will feature 144 golfers competing in a four-person scramble format. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., a shotgun start will begin play at 9 a.m., and a dinner reception will follow play around 3 p.m. The tournament is made possible by numerous volunteers and over 40 sponsors including Amazon BDL4, King of Dings, School of Rock, Lyons’ Auto Service, and Fuchs Financial.
