80 Artists To Be Featured in West Hartford ‘Artaversary’

West Hartford Art League 80th Artaversary Exhibit opens September 14.

The public is invited to the West Hartford Art League on Sunday, September 14, for the opening reception of the brand new exhibit, 80 Years, 80 Days in the galleries at 37 Buena Vista Road. The opening is free and open to the public.
This exhibit celebrates the West Hartford Art League’s 80 year “Artaversary” and showcases work by 80 artists who have been featured in the 80 Days of Art on-line series. As part of the month long exhibit which runs through October 12 , there will be a series of free demonstrations and talks by participating artists every Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. A list of artists can be found on the website http://westhartfordart.org/
Founded in 1934, the Art League started by offering classes in a small one room schoolhouse on Mountain Road, and has grown to include three historic buildings that offer painting, pottery, drawing, collage, photography and more in four sessions of classes taught through the year.
This exhibit was made possible with funding from our Presenting Sponsor the Ann and Edward Roberts Foundation, with additional funding provided by the Greater Hartford Arts Council.
