The West Hartford Public Schools Visual Arts Department is excited to announce the opening reception for its annual ArtBeat exhibition at the West Hartford Art League’s Saltbox and Clubhouse Galleries.

Student artwork from all 16 schools has been chosen to be displayed.

“This event is a wonderful reflection of West Hartford’s rich programming, outstanding instruction and student commitment!” said Department Supervisor Pam Murphy. Parents, students, teachers and members of the school community are invited to the opening celebration on March 9, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

For a number of years planning of this event has included establishing support for the local community and attendees are asked to support the West Hartford Food Pantry by contributing non-perishable goods.

If attending the exhibit after the opening reception, it is advised to call the gallery first at 860-231-8019 for information about hours. The exhibition will run from March 9 – April 3. The address is: 37 Buena Vista Rd., West Hartford.
