Bills That Lived And Died in the 2024 Legislative Session

‘Work Live Ride’ and a bill that would have expanded protections against evictions for elderly and disabled tenants were among the bills that died, while bills that survived included an omnibus public health bill and a bill appropriating the state’s remaining ARPA dollars that includes $1 million to West Hartford for its Vision Zero Action Plan implementation.

As the 2024 legislative session came to a close Wednesday, numerous bills that sought to enact big changes in the state met with different fates.

Speaker of the House Matt Ritter offered a few thoughts about the session after the House adjourned Wednesday at midnight. He said that the legislature, by and large, did what it needed to do.
