The Bridge Family Center proudly announces a generous $25,000 gift from Susan Averna and Jason Ryan, a couple who reside in West Hartford. Only one other gift of this amount has been received in the 52-year history of the Bridge.
The philanthropic investment of Averna and Ryan will support the general operating fund of the Bridge ensuring its vital programs and services are available for the children and families in the community.
“I would like to thank Susan and Jason for their commitment to our mission and dedication to those we serve. We plan to immediately direct this transformative gift to our residential, counseling, independent living programs, and our Family Resource Center. Their incredible generosity provides hope and healing to the over 8,000 children and families who turn to the Bridge each year. The positive impact their gift will have is immense and our gratitude for their caring and compassion is beyond measure,” said Margaret Hann, Executive Director of the Bridge Family Center.
“The Bridge is a vital part of our community providing comprehensive services to support basic needs and mental health of children and families. It is especially important now, in the wake of the pandemic, where families and individuals are struggling, that the Bridge receive support to continue their good work. We are grateful for their efforts and happy to support our friends and neighbors by contributing toward their mission,” stated Averna and Ryan.
