Auditions for both the Ballet Theatre Company’s 2017 production of The Nutcracker, which will be performed at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, as well as for the company’s pre-professional program, will be held on Saturday, Aug, 26.

On Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, join Ballet Theatre Company (BTC) for their annual audition for The Nutcracker from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Open to the community, BTC is looking for dancers ages 4 and up to participate in this year’s production! BTC’s colorful production of The Nutcracker will be held at the Hoffman Auditorium, at the University of Saint Joseph on Dec. 14-17. Rehearsals will begin Sept. 23.

Also on Aug. 26, Ballet Theatre Company is seeking pre-professional dancers with strong ballet technique to join BTC II (BTC’S Student Dance Company). Ballet Theatre Company is unique in that it offers students an opportunity to perform in professional ballet performances as part of BTC II. The mission of BTC II is to provide serious dancers an opportunity to train at a higher caliber, and experience professional dance at an early career stage in order to prepare and educate them for a future in dance, if they choose. BTC II rehearses repertoire, performs, and has new works choreographed for them by BTC Artistic staff and guest artists. BTC II dancers may also be considered for an opportunity to perform alongside professional dancers for major BTC productions. The audition will immediately follow The Nutcracker audition 1pm-2pm. Dancers must pre-register.

Both auditions will take place at BTC’s studio on 20 Jefferson Ave., West Hartford, CT 06110. For more information and to register visit our website, www.dancebtc.org. Contact 860-570-0440 or [email protected] with any questions!
