Conard High School is proud to announce that Ava DeLaCruz has been named as an Honorable Mention in the 2018 National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Award for Aspirations in Computing.

Each year, U.S. high school women in grades 9 through 12 are eligible to receive recognition for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance, and plans for post‑secondary education.

Ava is the first student from Conard to be recognized by NCWIT on the national level. She will now have access to NCWIT’s scholarship and internship opportunities, whose goal is to encourage equity in STEM fields.
