The Mandell JCC will offer an array of creative camp options for summer 2015 with its Arts Camp, Theater Camp and Camp UT. Registration is now open, with special early bird rates available now until March 15, 2015. Camps are open to the community and offer flexible payment plans.

For those seeking more creative opportunities this summer, the Mandell JCC offers Theater Camp (June 22-July 17), Arts Camp (July 20-August 14) and new this year, CampUT (August 3 -14).

Theater Camp helps actors entering grades 3-8 to work together and perform in the musical “Honk!”, the beloved story of The Ugly Duckling. The camp culminates with two performances of the show on July 16 and July 19.

Young artists in grades 1-6 can explore different media and materials at Arts Camp located at the Mandell JCC, with the full-day option including snack, additional art activities, swimming and outside play.

New, CampUT is a partnership with Unified Theater and welcomes students of all abilities to come together for a two-week, half-day program to create, produce and perform an original theater piece. At this free camp, students will learn to write dialogue, improvise, choreograph dances, sing, create sets, act and stage manage.

Prices and dates for arts camps vary. For more information, brochure and applications, please visitwww.mandelljcc.org or contact the Member Services Center, 860-236-4571. All dates and programs are subject to change.

The Mandell Jewish Community Center is open to everyone and supported by funds raised by the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, a recipient of funding from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, and a member of the JCC Association of North America.
