The Elmwood Business Association is asking for the community’s support.
This is the fourth year they are partnering with the Knox Inc.Green Crew that will once again help to beautify the Elmwood Community. Knox will deliver summer and fall plantings that will be maintained June through November. Charlie Hilborn from Sheehan Hilborn Breen is visiting the local businesses for their support to pay for the planters.
“This year we are also asking you, our residents and friends of Elmwood, to help in purchasing more planters,” said Hilborn. “We are hoping everyone will consider participating as every donation will help keep Elmwood blooming.”
Anyone able to assist in supporting more planters is asked to please send a check for $5, $10, $25 – or even more if you can – to contribute to a new planter. These planters will be distributed throughout the center of Elmwood including the library and fire station to add to those the businesses are purchasing.
Checks can be made out to KNOX Inc. and dropped off by May 10 at Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home during business hours, or mailed (made out to KNOX Inc.) to Charlie Hilborn at 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, CT 06110. “It would be so amazing to get the support of the whole community to help to really beautify our part of West Hartford,” said Hilborn. “Thank you very much for your generosity to ‘Help Elmwood Bloom Again!’ Let’s show everyone the Elmwood spirit! “
For more information please contact Charles Hilborn at 860-559-8722.
