Judy Casperson, CEO of Casperson Consulting LLC, recently moderated a panel discussion commemorating Women’s History Month.

The event, held on March 13 at 8:30 a.m. and hosted by the West Hartford Office of Economic Development and the Office of Equity Advancement, aimed to spotlight the invaluable contributions of women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

The event, held at West Hartford Town Hall, brought together a diverse array of industry leaders, such as restaurant owners, business advisors and media enthusiasts for an insightful exploration of the challenges and triumphs experienced by women-owned small businesses.

Partnering with Explore Farmington, the panel discussion served as a platform to highlight the experiences and insights of prominent female leaders in various industries.

Esteemed guests, including Pinar Ozy, Andrea Hawkins, Grecia Ludena, and Denise Whitford, shared their expertise on topics such as future female leadership, essential leadership skills, access to capital, and overcoming barriers in the business world.

“They were chosen just by the diversity of the industries we wanted to represent and their success. They are trailblazers in what they do and we were very excited to have them,” said Casperson.

Casperson, renowned for her extensive experience in banking and investment, brought her wealth of expertise to the discussion as the moderator.

With over 20 years of experience, Casperson’s dedication to empowering women and girls has been evident through her involvement in numerous boards and seminars focused on financial literacy and empowerment.

Reflecting on the event, Casperson emphasized the significance of celebrating and empowering women in business. “I think it’s see one, be one. How can we empower each other? How can we connect? How can we get what we’re worth in all aspects of life?” said Casperson. “It really is helping to understand that they really do need a foundation and a business plan and being able to help them through that process.”

As Women’s History Month draws to a close, Judy Casperson’s panel discussion serves as a reminder of the continued progress and empowerment of women in the business world.
